Teacher training at master degree project (ttm)

TTM SCHOLARSHIP 2010

The Education for Development Fund (EDF-Lao), The Education for Development Foundation (EDF-Thai), EDF-Japan (Former name: Minsai Center Japan) and Khonkaen University in Thailand in cooperation with Ministry of Education of Lao PDR, has been initiated a project called “Teacher Training at Master Degree Level”. The project provides training sessions and education opportunities for the Laotian who are able to develop teaching methods and curriculum in science and mathematics.

1. Course

Study field: Mathematic, Physics, Chemistry and Biology

Degree to be obtained: Master’s degree (2.5 or 3 years course)

Time for study: Around the end of May. 2010

2. Qualification and Requirement

Applicants must be citizens of Lao PDR and have been living in Laos for at least two years before application

Age: 35 or less years old (at the time of application)

Hold Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher

Applicants must be government employee that could be a school teacher or an educational institution member that related to curriculum and schooling method development

Have knowledge of English at good level and Thai at basic level

Have knowledge of computer, internet and Email

2-3 years working experience on teaching field or curriculum and schooling method development

Applicants should return to Lao PDR to contribute to the development of Lao with acquired knowledge and skills after completing their study in KKU.

4. Application Deadline

Applicants should submit application form to EDF-Lao Office by Sep. 30, 2009, 16:30
